Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive and operate various types of forklifts and pallet jacks, including Reach Trucks and Order Pickers, to move materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check, stock, and inventory products to ensure stock levels meet operational demands and maintain accurate records.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies, including conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders with precision, ensuring the correct items and quantities are dispatched.
- Maintenance Reporting: Report any mechanical issues with the forklift or facility equipment to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
- Reliability: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff.
