Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by performing regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Handle merchandise with care to prevent damage during storage and transport.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment inspection.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and shift supervisors regarding inventory levels and potential hazards.
Qualifications
- Certification (forklift or reach truck) is preferred but not required if willing to learn.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory or using warehouse management systems (WMS).
