Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse facility safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and logging stock movements into the warehouse management system.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is organized, clean, and free of hazards to comply with OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines during peak weekend shifts.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A, B, or C required).
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and workplace protocols.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory scanning systems.
