Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery: Safely drive and operate counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Conduct accurate cycle counts and ensure proper organization of stock according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and LIFO methods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Packaging & Shipping: Assist in preparing products for shipment, including labeling, shrink-wrapping, and strapping pallets.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with shift supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak weekend hours.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid OSHA forklift certification (Class 1, 3, or 4).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a full-time basis.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
