Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and reach forklifts to safely transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Load and unload trucks in an organized and timely manner, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies using scanning equipment.
- Perform routine safety checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately to maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment adhering to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with team leads to meet daily production targets and workflow goals.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all moved inventory.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator (OSHA 10/30) or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory and operating warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
