Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move, load, and unload materials.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, stock, and organize inventory to ensure proper stock levels and accessibility for the operations team.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Picking and Packing: Fulfill customer orders by picking items, verifying quantities, and preparing them for shipment or delivery.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational readiness and longevity.
- Load Preparation: Secure loads properly using straps, bands, and coverings to prevent damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a current and valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift; good hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret pick tickets and inventory labels accurately.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and capable of working flexible hours including overtime as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a standard background check and drug screen.
