Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and Unload: Perform accurate loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers while adhering to weight limits and safety guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure proper organization of warehouse aisles.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately to management.
- Material Preparation: Prepare pallets for shipping using shrink wrap and banding equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating industrial forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety protocols and inventory accuracy.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret warehouse orders, pick lists, and packing slips.
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license (Class B preferred).
