Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Verify inventory accuracy by checking stock against manifests and picking tickets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and ticket verification.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
