Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Manually move freight, stock, and materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery according to safety regulations.
- Load and Unload: Efficiently load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods to prevent damage.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and stock organization within the warehouse.
- Material Handling: Stack, arrange, and organize products on pallets, shelves, or racks to ensure maximum space utilization.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company policies, reporting any hazards immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating machinery.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work a consistent schedule, including weekends or overtime as needed.
