Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods within the warehouse.
- Load & Unload: Load and unload trucks in strict adherence to safety protocols and shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records using our advanced warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace, adhering strictly to OSHA safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and colleagues to meet daily production targets and ensure seamless operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screen. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
