Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport merchandise using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, scan items using handheld scanners, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Packing & Labeling: Pack products securely for shipment, apply correct labels, and prepare documentation.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe by adhering to all OSHA safety protocols and company standards.
- Stock Organization: Restock shelves, rotate stock to ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) compliance, and manage returns.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic pre-shift inspections on machinery and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new warehouse management systems (WMS) quickly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting and verifying inventory.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as required.
- License: Valid driver's license required; forklift certification is a plus.
