Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, stack, and organize inventory within the refrigerated storage units.
- Load and Unload Freight: Efficiently load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers while adhering to strict timeframes and safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, pick orders accurately, and maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records.
- Cold Chain Compliance: Ensure that all products are stored at the correct temperature ranges and maintain the integrity of the cold chain during handling.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep storage aisles clear, ensure freezer doors are sealed properly, and perform routine checks on storage units.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50-70 lbs) repeatedly for long periods in a cold environment.
- Temperature Tolerance: Must be comfortable working in environments that range from 35°F to 40°F.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not required (we provide on-the-job training).
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- License: Valid driver's license and forklift certification are highly desirable.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
