Responsibilities
- Material Transport: Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in compliance with safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Receive, verify, and store incoming shipments using WMS systems; accurately count and track stock levels.
- Order Fulfillment: Select and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to 5S principles.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies immediately to management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or in a similar logistics role is highly preferred.
- License: Valid forklift certification (CDL preferred) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate warehouse floors.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Skills: Basic math skills, proficiency with inventory software, and strong attention to detail.
- Attitude: Proactive problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
