Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently handle incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Conduct accurate cycle counts and maintain precise inventory records within the frozen and refrigerated storage areas.
- Temperature Compliance: Monitor storage units to ensure temperature controls are functioning correctly to preserve product quality.
- Organizational Maintenance: Keep storage aisles clear and organized, adhering to safety protocols and 5S standards.
- Packaging & Labeling: Apply proper labeling and packaging techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly in a cold environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
- Reliability: Consistent work history and punctuality are essential.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid Driver’s License: (Preferred) Ability to operate company vehicles.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is a plus but not required.
