Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% on-time delivery and accuracy.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a Zero-Harm workplace culture; conduct daily safety inspections.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Management: Ensure all material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) is maintained, inspected, and operated by certified personnel.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
- Licenses: Valid forklift certification and Occupational Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanners (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and work in various weather conditions.
