Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Inventory Management: Accurately record inventory movements, stock levels, and discrepancies using warehouse management software.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipping in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to optimize workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counting and order processing.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if applicable for yard jockeys).
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
