Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, accurately count stock, and maintain precise inventory records.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders and quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and warehouse protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Organization: Keep workstations, aisles, and storage areas organized and clutter-free to ensure efficient workflow.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork for shipments and inventory adjustments.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting is a plus but not always required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical labor in varying temperature conditions.
- Skills: Basic math skills for inventory counting and excellent attention to detail.
- Certification: Forklift certification (Class A or B) is highly desirable.
- Attitude: Must be a self-starter with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
