Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by checking counts, labels, and documentation.
- Stock Organization: Maintain accurate records and organize stock in designated areas to optimize warehouse flow and accessibility.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist in packing, labeling, and preparing items for shipment to customers and vendors.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Certification: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) is a significant plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
