Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our Columbus facility. You will be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every task.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (including Reach Trucks and Pallet Jacks) safely and efficiently to move stock.
- Receive, inspect, and stage incoming shipments against packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with a focus on minimizing errors.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in regular cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is organized, clean, and adheres to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team leads to meet daily production targets and workflow goals.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift certification.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer literacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
