Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials from receiving docks to storage areas and shipping docks.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts, stock replenishment, and maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners.
- Picking and Packing: Fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of handling equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
- License: Valid Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order fulfillment.
- Communication: Basic ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
