Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials: Safely operate material handling equipment to load and unload trucks, ensuring products are handled with care.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, pick, pack, and stage orders accurately to meet customer demands.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery in compliance with safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work area organized, clean, and safe by adhering to 5S standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, logs, and shipping documents using warehouse management software.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) is highly desirable.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safety in the workplace.
