What You Will Do
As a Material Handler, your day will be fast-paced and varied. You will be responsible for the movement, storage, and management of goods within our facility.
Responsibilities
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing merchandise, check for damages, and ensure accurate documentation of all stock.
- Organization: Stock shelves and organize warehouse storage areas to maintain a systematic and efficient layout.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning of warehouse equipment and work areas to ensure operational readiness.
- Reporting: Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail are essential.
- Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus but we will train the right candidate.
