Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Load, unload, and move materials by hand or using material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
- Inventory Management: Verify and count incoming stock against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by sweeping, organizing pallets, and removing debris.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
- Inventory Audits: Assist in periodic stock counts and inventory rotation to ensure product availability and accuracy.
- Equipment Care: Perform basic maintenance checks on material handling equipment and report any malfunctions to management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, standing for extended periods, and walking.
- Skills: Basic math skills for counting inventory and tracking shipments; strong attention to detail.
- License: Valid driverβs license (if required for driving company vehicles).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely in a fast-paced environment.
