Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload shipments from trailers and trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse neat, organized, and safe by following 5S methodologies.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick, pack, and label orders for shipment using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not required.
- Licensure: Valid forklift certification (Class A, B, or C) is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and attention to detail.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
