Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to and from delivery vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records through the warehouse management system.
- Packing & Shipping: Package, label, and prepare products for shipment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment by organizing storage racks and pallets.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling and heavy machinery operation.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage and ensure they meet quality specifications.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Licensure: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Attitude: Must be a team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and safety.
