Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and inspecting incoming stock to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications and safety standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and housekeeping procedures.
- Shipment Processing: Label packages accurately and ensure they are loaded onto the correct trailers for timely delivery.
- Quality Control: Identify damaged goods or shipping errors and report them immediately to the shift supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is a plus but not strictly required for eager learners.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic math skills for inventory counting; ability to read and comprehend basic labels and shipping documents.
- Certifications: Forklift certification (Class A or B) is highly desirable. Must be willing to obtain certification upon hiring.
- Background: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
