We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and stock merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, count, and verify incoming stock against purchase orders; perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Picking & Packing: Fulfill customer orders by selecting, packing, and labeling products with precision to minimize errors and damages.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of stock movements and assist with inventory audits and reporting.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on assigned equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various warehouse aisles.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with barcode scanners or RF devices is a plus.
- Certification: Current forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, and commitment to safety.
