Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Packaging & Labeling: Properly package, label, and prepare products for shipment according to customer specifications and safety standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of material handling equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse layout to optimize workflow and reduce retrieval time.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Equipment: Basic familiarity with forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work various shifts including overtime as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documents.
