Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse facility.
- Ensure all cargo is loaded securely and distributed to the correct storage locations or shipping docks.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure safety compliance and equipment functionality.
- Scan and verify inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) to maintain accurate stock records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as directed by management.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow operations.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator license (OSHA compliant) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work a rotating night shift schedule (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures strictly.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with barcode scanners or WMS systems preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
