Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move palletized goods in a temperature-controlled warehouse
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Execute precise inventory counts using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and company standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize loading dock operations
- Document daily activities in electronic logs with 100% accuracy
- Support emergency material handling during peak shipping periods
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable forklift experience in warehouse/distribution settings
- Proficient with inventory scanning technology and warehouse software
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in varied temperature conditions
- Strong attention to detail with zero-tolerance for safety violations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Availability to work flexible night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with weekend rotation
