Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and yard.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and functionality.
- Verify inventory accuracy by scanning pallets and managing stock rotation (FIFO).
- Ensure all safety protocols and OSHA regulations are strictly followed at all times.
- Collaborate with the night team to maintain an organized and clutter-free workspace.
- Assist in the preparation of shipping orders and coordinate with dock personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A, B, or C) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
