Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely handle and transport goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and document any discrepancies immediately.
- Cold Storage Maintenance: Organize, label, and store products in designated temperature zones while adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) protocols.
- Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and log storage temperatures to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and maintaining a clean workspace.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in cold conditions.
- Equipment Operation: Basic knowledge of forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus; on-the-job training provided.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
