Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check and record inventory levels, ensuring stock is organized and easily accessible.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of obstructions to ensure smooth operations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other staff to coordinate daily tasks and shifts.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA preferred) and ability to pass a background check.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations or material handling is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating machinery.
- Reliability: Demonstrated ability to arrive on time and work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Communication: Basic computer skills and the ability to read and understand safety signage and instructions.
