Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform routine safety inspections on equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Ensure the safe handling of inventory, including heavy and delicate items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately recording stock movements and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator license (must be present).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanning devices.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Houston, IL location.
