Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely operate forklifts to load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, picking, packing, and staging materials for distribution.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately fulfill customer orders by moving pallets to designated storage or shipping areas.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily operations and material movements as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy when handling inventory.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
