Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and stockpiling merchandise, ensuring accuracy in inventory records.
- Safe Handling: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding the handling of heavy loads and hazardous materials.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Paperwork & Documentation: Complete necessary daily logs, delivery receipts, and inventory reports accurately and on time.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience operating sit-down or stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- License: A valid Driver’s License (Class D) is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions. Good vision and depth perception are essential.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or overtime if needed.
