Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Perform daily pre-shift safety inspections on forklifts and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Organize and stack inventory according to safety protocols and storage guidelines.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track stock levels and update inventory records accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist in packing orders and preparing shipments for outbound delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff regarding inventory needs and safety hazards.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) or CDL Class B with appropriate endorsements.
- Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory and reporting.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or nights, as needed.
