Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Perform thorough pre-shift and post-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure machinery is safe and operational.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated areas to maximize storage efficiency and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding stock levels and operational needs.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA compliant) is mandatory; valid license must be presented upon hiring.
- Experience with various forklift types (e.g., Reach Truck, Counterbalance) is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on workplace safety.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physically capable of performing the essential job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
