Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate electric and diesel forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure safety and proper function.
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as directed by the warehouse supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize workflow and meet daily shipping targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator License (Forklift Certification) required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory accuracy.
- License: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
