Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-shift inspections and safety checks on all forklifts and equipment.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated areas to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including sweeping and organizing pallets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and understand shipping labels and logs.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and inventory management.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
