Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, order pickers) to load, unload, and move products safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is organized, clean, and free of obstacles to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols regarding hazardous materials and heavy machinery.
Qualifications
- Current and valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Valid Driverβs License (Class B preferred).
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and material handling is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and walking on various surfaces.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory and tracking orders.
