Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse facility.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, storing, and distributing products accurately while adhering to inventory control procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, ensuring all aisles and pathways are clear of obstructions.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including load tags, inventory logs, and safety reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols to prevent accidents.
- Availability: Reliable attendance and availability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
