Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the accurate counting and recording of inventory to ensure stock levels are correct.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety when handling goods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
