Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight onto and off of trailers, trucks, and shipping containers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing inventory by checking labels, tracking numbers, and ensuring accurate counts against packing slips.
- Packaging: Properly package goods to prevent damage during transit, utilizing shrink wrap, strapping, and boxes as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic daily checks on machinery and equipment to ensure functionality and report any issues immediately.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse workspace to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or retail stocking role is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- License: Valid driver's license is a plus; forklift certification is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and order fulfillment.
