Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a small team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage stock rotation to prevent shrinkage.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Reporting: Generate and maintain daily/weekly reports on warehouse productivity and operational issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar logistics role.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification and OSHA 30-hour safety certification is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) is required.
