In this role, you will ensure our warehouse operates efficiently, safely, and accurately, serving the Baton Rouge community with excellence.
As a Supervisor, you will bridge the gap between management and floor operations, ensuring that our inventory management and order fulfillment processes run smoothly while maintaining a high standard of workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping orders to ensure 100% accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Team Management: Direct and motivate a team of warehouse associates, assigning tasks, providing feedback, and fostering a positive, safe work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage inventory discrepancies to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a hazard-free workplace for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency and implement process improvements to reduce waste and maximize productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, train, and supervise a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in logistics is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
