Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts to move palletized materials efficiently and safely
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and report equipment malfunctions promptly
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company operational standards
- Coordinate with receiving/shipping teams for seamless material flow
- Train junior operators on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Support warehouse cleanliness and organizational standards
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and active NYC license
- Minimum 3 years of recent forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings
