Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations for 500+ daily orders across air, ocean, and ground carriers
- Optimize route planning and carrier selection to minimize costs while maintaining 99.5% on-time delivery rate
- Manage customs documentation compliance for 15+ international trade lanes
- Lead cross-departmental logistics meetings with warehouse, sales, and finance teams
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives reducing shipping costs by 10-15% annually
- Maintain real-time shipment visibility through our proprietary TMS platform
- Train junior coordinators on SOPs and crisis management protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of shipping coordination experience with international freight forwarding
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (Descartes, Oracle Transportation Management preferred)
- Expert knowledge of INCOTERMS 2020, customs regulations, and hazardous materials handling
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Power Query
- Problem-solving ability for shipment delays and customs clearance issues
- APICS or CSCMP certification strongly preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts during peak seasons
