Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments, including documentation compliance and carrier scheduling
- Manage inventory control systems and real-time tracking of in-transit goods
- Optimize freight routing to minimize costs while meeting delivery deadlines
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with customs brokers, vendors, and warehouse personnel
- Maintain accurate shipping records and generate performance reports
- Train temporary staff on shipping protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in logistics/shipping coordination
- Proficiency with WMS (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan) and TMS platforms
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and hazardous materials
- Excel expertise in data analysis and reporting
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment
- Proven problem-solving in high-pressure scenarios
