Responsibilities
- Coordinate Shipments: Manage the scheduling and coordination of inbound and outbound freight, ensuring all logistics align with customer deadlines.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Carrier Management: Communicate effectively with third-party carriers and trucking companies to resolve transit issues and optimize delivery routes.
- Tracking & Reporting: Monitor shipment progress in real-time systems and generate performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate stock levels and proper packaging for transit.
- Problem Solving: Proactively address shipping delays, damaged goods, or missing documentation with quick, effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel specifically for data entry) and experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high accuracy in data entry and documentation processes.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
